The following language, when included in a will, is suitable for use in establishing an endowment fund within the Lake Oswego School District Foundation:
"I give and bequeath to the Lake Oswego School District Foundation, ________________ (describe name & purpose of bequest)."
To indicate a Named and Purpose of the Endowment Fund choose the appropriate language from paragraph 1, 2 or 3 listed below and give to your legal advisor for inclusion in your will.
1. For General purposes (Unrestricted Use of Funds)
"This bequest shall be used to create a component fund to be known as the ________ (your name(s) here) Fund, the income of which, and principal when considered advisable by the Lake Oswego School District Foundation Board shall be distributed for the general charitable purposes pursued by the Lake Oswego School District Foundation."
