Program Benefits—

Business Partnership Program
A win-win for local schools and local businesses.
Lake Oswego has talent. Our local businesses range from restaurant, to retail, to service—to internet-based and international organizations too. Local businesses recognize that excellent Lake Oswego schools are a driving force in making this community a desirable place to live. Educated students are an immediately available source of high quality employees, and they also eventually become employers themselves, or successful business people and citizens of the community—expanding the tax base, purchasing power, and economic foundation of Lake Oswego.
Through full and half-page ads in the Lake Oswego Review, and other forms of acknowledgement and advertisement for your business, this program recognizes and thanks the businesses that have become good corporate citizens by donating to our schools through the Business Partnership Program. Ads are targeted to the local community, and they highlight the importance of supporting our Business Partners in particular, and promote the value of doing business right here, in Lake Oswego.
Business Partnership Benefits Include:
  1. 3 full-page ads listing all of our business partners.  Businesses will be grouped by level of contribution.  Business Name only will be listed for contributions below the Starkweather level; Business Name and/or logo will be listed for contributions at the Starkweather and above level.

  2. Businesses will be periodically recognized in our print and monthly e-Newsletters or ListServ emails throughout the year. They will also be listed as contributors on the Business Partners page of this web site.

  3. Each business that donates will receive a window sticker for their business recognizing them as a Proud Supporter of Lake Oswego schools (right.)

  4. Superintendent's and Chairman's Circle members have the use of our Business Partnership logo in their ads or other promotional materials, subject to prior written Foundation approval.

  5. Opportunity to participate in Special Programs for Targeted Business Groups. We currently have programs for Restaurants and Retailers and Realtors and Mortgage Lenders.
Some of our Business Partners make their donations based on programs they already have involving community participation. For example:

  • Lamb's Palisades Thriftway and New Seasons Markets donate money from can and bottle returns.
  • New Seasons donates the profit from some of their locally purchased fruit. During their first year as a Business Partner, New Seasons donated over $15,000!
  • Lamb's Palisades Thriftway holds events in the spring and fall and donates a percentage of their sales to the Foundation.
