The theatre at Lake Oswego High School has a
notable distinction. It is the first
facility in the school district to be named after an individual. It is now the Pamela
G. Schreyer Theatre, named in memory of Pam Schreyer, a parent in the school district who was an enthusiastic and talented supporter of the
arts in both the community and the schools.
More than 200 individuals made contributions
in Schreyer’s memory to the Lake Oswego School District Foundation totaling more than $50,0000. These donations are the first major gifts given to the Foundation’s
endowment fund, The Stafford Society.
Donna Boretz, a close friend of Schreyer’s and a board member
on the Foundation, said that this is a fitting tribute.
“Pam was a remarkable, selfless woman and a wonderful friend.
Pam loved being around young people and was always so generous in
sharing her talents with students. I know she would have been honored
by this memorial and grateful that the endowment will continue to
support the students.”
The theatre is used for small, intimate performances and also
as an everyday teaching facility. It will bear Schreyer’s name in perpetuity and the
school district will refer to the theater as the Pamela G. Schreyer
Theatre. |

On February 2, 2006, Lake Oswego High School’s Wrestling Room was named for and dedicated to Donald M. Lea II. Don was a high school and college wrestler, as well as being actively involved in the Lake Oswego community as a parent, soccer coach and volunteer.
A generous gift to the Foundation from Chris and Ann Robinson and their family made it possible to name the wrestling room in Don’s memory.
